The Department of Information Technology, SRM Valliammai Engineering College, organized a School Outreach Programme titled “NextGen Innovators” on 18th September 2026 for the students of Neelan Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Guduvancheri, in association with the CSI-SRMVEC Student Branch and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and co-organized by IQAC-SRMVEC & ISTE.
🚨Highlights of the Programme
- Welcome address by Dr. S. Sekar, Head, Department of Information Technology
- Distribution of educational kits to school students
- Demonstration and presentation of school students’ projects
- Demonstration of college-level projects by our students
- Interactive quiz on General Knowledge, Science, Technology and Innovation
- Prize distribution to quiz winners and runners-up
- Lunch and refreshments for the participants
A total of 86 students, along with 4 staff members, participated in the programme. The event provided students with exposure to innovation, creativity, project development and emerging technologies, while encouraging them to develop a creative and problem-solving mindset.
The programme concluded as a meaningful and engaging learning experience, inspiring young learners to think creatively, share their ideas and explore the world of innovation and technology.
